wow.. I listened to this episode because I thought I might hear intelligent conversation from the left. I was disappointed.

The stab at Bill O’Reilly was almost embarrassing, IF you know history. Bill remarked that the healthcare bill would bring taxes up to 45% which is Stalin-like tax rates. The commentator said that Bill didn’t mention our tax rate was higher than that in the 80′s and even higher in the 70′s.. HE didn’t HAVE to mention it. Who came into office in 1981 and LOWERED the tax rate? Ronald Reagan, a conservative. Reagan proved that cutting taxes benefited not only the wealthy, but the people that worked for the wealthy. Here’s a little statistic for you.
REAGAN
1981 Unemployment Rate: 7.6% (8.2 million total unemployed)
1988 Unemployment Rate: 5.5% (6.7 million total unemployed)
Unemployment Rate Change: -2.1%
Total unemployment percentage change: -19.0%
Even the staunchest left wing economists can’t honestly argue that.

This podcast is liberal drivel, not worth the bandwidth.
Try to get some government funding and buy yourselves a clue.

Poor Steve, drank the Kool Aid and spouts the talking points verbatim. Tax Rates are a ruse – they don’t account for loop holes – look at the tax collection rates. Kennedy lowered tax rates and actually collected more. The economy, income, and standards of living, have always been higher, for everyone, when the collections from upper tax brackets were the highest. Reagan ran up the debt and stole from the Social Security funds – anyone can have a great economy with an unlimited credit card. Look what happened when the payments came due!

Sad, Steve memorizes the corporate spin and truly believes he has all the answers. Remember, the easiest way to annoy a conservative is to gather the facts and think for yourself.
