Hey Jay! Thanks for the shout-out in this podcast as a new (well, not TOO new) BotL member. As a full-time engineer and a part-time student, it is difficult to find the time and the mindset to digest all the continuous stream of information stewing amongst sound bytes and opinions posing as facts. Because of your podcast, I have gained a better understanding of some of our country’s issues through researching the topics that you have covered. I have to admit that most of the time, it is painful for me to listen to the episodes. Painful because each listening reminds me of the mire that exists in our world, and at times I feel overwhelmed by the sheer enormity of the conundrum that is the human condition.
Even though I don’t necessarily agree with some of the opinions expressed on the podcast, I truly admire your passion, sincerity and honesty. You do not pretend to be fair and balance, but you do your damnedest to be reasonable. Because of your work, I am making an effort to become more involved in the few issues that have always been near and dear to me.
So long for now, and thanks for all the clips.
P.S. I wouldn’t necessarily say Vegas as a city sucks , but I am definitely not a fan of the Strip. It is a great planespotting city, though.

Great episode. Some very good insights from Congressman Frank. (Although I still think he kinda sounds like Admiral Ackbar)
