hi great show this week, although Rachel was a bit over the top. where can i get a copy of Theo Bard – this fickle world?

regards kyle

I hear you. Unfortunately Rachel really spearheaded that issue so if I’d toned her down there wouldn’t have been enough for a full show.

You can find Theo Bard at myspace.com/theobard

Jay,
I wholeheartedly agree with your discussion at the end of the show about framing issues from a Liberal/Progressive viewpoint. The trouble we have in combating the Right in this respect is that while there is only one truth, which we can publish, disseminate, shout from the rooftops, there are an infinite number of crazy, inflammatory lies that can be created. How can we anticipate what directions these lies will take? Who could have imagined that an innocuous section of the healthcare bill designed to allow end-of-life counseling would be turned into death panels? Studies have shown that once people believe these lies, not even the truth can sway them. Instead, there must be some penalty for propagating these lies, but I don’t see a constitutionally acceptable route to this.
