What Sarah did.

My father taught me two things: 4 keys to self-defense and to never trust anyone who says “Trust me.” I think that was some of the best advice that I follow to this day. I never have and never will believe a single thing John McCain or Sarah Palin say. One keeps calling everyone his “friend,” and the other blatantly lies through her teeth with a smile when she says “I have nothing to hide.”

Please, who do they take us for? The “My Friend” thing is just a facade that will last until November 4th. This coutry has suffered long enough by blindly following a leader begging for trust and faith in the government’s ability to improve the country. We’re not so naive as to believe Mrs. Palin’s innocense based solely on her word either, she is a politician after all. Naturally, I wasn’t shocked when the probe into the Troopergate scandal found Mrs. Palin abused power, an “ethical violation”.

“‘I find that Governor Sarah Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110 (a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act,’ investigator Steve Branchflower concluded in the…report.”

“The panel found Mrs Palin in violation of a state ethics law prohibiting public officials from using their office for personal gain.”

And of course, the GOP will deny any wrong-doing on Palin’s part. Too predictable…

“Mrs Palin’s lawyer said that the report had not been conclusive. ‘In order to violate the ethics law, there has to be some personal gain, said Thomas Van Flein. ‘Mr Branchflower has failed to identify any financial gain.’”

So wait, just because Mrs. Palin did not receive any financial gain, she did not violate the law. How about the personal gain of firing an innocent man that was involved with her sister? Seems to me like there’s a flaw in the reasoning. (Better come up with a different version of the truth, Sarah.)

“Alaska’s governor will either be seen as the victim of a Democratic party hatchet job, or a hypocrite.”

“Mrs Palin maintains she fired Mr Monegan in July over a budgetary dispute. But Mr Monegan said he was dismissed for resisting pressure from Mrs Palin and her husband, Todd, to fire State Trooper Mike Wooten, Mrs Palin’s former brother-in-law.”

Since the Republican ticket is so quick to say “What else is Obama hiding,” it’s just as easy to ask “What else has Mrs. Palin lied about?”
