Sample email to a progressive group

I am writing as a fellow progressive/liberal/left-leaning-person/etc because I’ve felt compelled to share a show with you that I sincerely believe will be of great interest to you and the members of your group.

I subscribe to a free podcast that keeps me exceptionally well informed that I really think you’ll love. The Best of the Left podcast is an audio compellation of the best multimedia clips from highly respected shows on a wide variety of today’s pressing political issues talked about from a progressive perspective. Each episode is organized into a theme of clips from many sources making it one of the easiest ways to stay informed.

I felt compelled to write to you like this because the show is independently produced and the creator of the show asked his audience to help spread the word as a favor in return for me enjoying the show. Being a fan, I am more than happy to do my part to support something I believe in. Hence, this email.

The show has clips from such a huge variety of sources (Air America Radio, MSNBC (Maddow and Olbermann, NPR, Thom Hartmann, The Young Turks and so many more) that it would be a near impossibility to hear all the great material the show provides on your own. It is a huge time saver for me, collecting clips from all my favorite sources and splicing them together with great music to create a seamless, fast-paced show.
