What Sarah did.

My father taught me two things: 4 keys to self-defense and to never trust anyone who says “Trust me.” I think that was some of the best advice that I follow to this day. I never have and never will believe a single thing John McCain or Sarah Palin say. One keeps calling everyone his “friend,” and the other blatantly lies through her teeth with a smile when she says “I have nothing to hide.”

Please, who do they take us for? The “My Friend” thing is just a facade that will last until November 4th. This coutry has suffered long enough by blindly following a leader begging for trust and faith in the government’s ability to improve the country. We’re not so naive as to believe Mrs. Palin’s innocense based solely on her word either, she is a politician after all. Naturally, I wasn’t shocked when the probe into the Troopergate scandal found Mrs. Palin abused power, an “ethical violation”.

Nevermind the logic, just don’t follow the crowd!

Shock and awe.

People who think the earth is flat still exist. That’s right, FLAT! It’s as though we’re back in the ancient times before Aristotle observed in 330 A.D. that the earth is, in fact, round. These people, flat-earthers, believe that the NASA photos of Earthrise taken from space are manufactured. Of course! Why didn’t I think of that?

Brendan O’Neill, of the BBC, has been fortunate enough to interview several flat-earthers and tell us all about it in “Do they really think the earth is flat?” I hope it wasn’t too difficult for Mr. O’Neill to keep his face straight.

So, who are these flat-earthers and where can you find them? Read on to find out!

Responses to the Bailout Bill

The US Congress passed Version 2 of the $700 billion Wall Street bailout bill last Friday. Whether or not it was the right decision to make will be evident in the coming weeks, months and years. And while the market still seems to be uncertain of the bill’s ability to fix our economy, President Bush is doing his best to convince his friends that it was a “clearly necessary” action. I, however, am doubtful such a reckless and rash band-aid of an attempt to fix the economy will be anything but unsuccessful, and will surely increase an already enormous national debt.

We’ve hand picked some of the best responses to the bill. Cenk Uygur tells us exactly why we should not pass (shouldn’t have passed) the bailout bill, and government officials give their scintillating comments to the media. Read further!
