Bill Ayers interviewed on ABC
William (Bill) Ayers went on record to clear up his relationship with Barack Obama this morning on ABC. Ayers stated that he is not a terrorist, his friendship with Obama is like any other regular person’s relationship with an elected official, and that the Weather Underground group was “unfairly ‘demonized’” by the media and the McCain/Palin camp.

So the Right Says Barack Obama Is a Terrorist
Recently, Sarah Palin made a speech in the town of Carson, CA, in which she made references to Barack Obama being a terrorist. Specifically, she was talking about his relationship to a man named Bill Ayers, a member of Weatherman (later the ‘Weather Underground’).
“There’s been a lot of interest in what I read lately,” she said [in reference to her recent interview with Katie Couric]. “I was reading today a copy of The New York Times. And I was really interested to read in there about Barack Obama’s friends from Chicago.
“Turns out one of his earliest supporters is a man who, according to The New York Times, was a domestic terrorist, that, quote, ‘launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and the United States Capitol’.”
She apparently did not get to the part in the article that stated that Mr Obama and Ayers “do not appear to have been close.”
